My Favorite Boston Yoga Studios
When I moved to Boston one of the first things I did was seek out yoga classes in town to try. After living in the city for three years and going to countless classes (some good and some not), the following studios are ones that I highly recommend to anyone.
1. Down Under School of Yoga. Honestly, what first caught my eye about Down Under was that New England’s premier yoga school offers a newcomer special: $30 for 30 Days of unlimited Yoga. Once I practiced here, I was hooked on an authentic style of teaching.
2. Coolidge Corner Yoga provides a nurturing space where the Brookline and surrounding communities can practice yoga. The classes are truly designed for everyone; young and old, novice and seasoned. I love that the motto at CCY is feel good, do good. The mission is to nourish people inside and out so that we can all be better versions of ourselves for our community.
3. Studio U was created from the idea that you should be able to get a whole-body workout without joining multiple gyms. The focus is on three primary disciplines: Strength & Cardio, Core & Flexibility and Dance. A variety of small group fitness classes are offered in a boutique setting with the top notch instructors. You can try something new, like yoga sculpt, or fine tune your favorite workout in a welcoming social atmosphere.
I hope these recommendations help. Let me know in the comments what your favorite yoga pose is!
