Warm Up with Body Fat this Winter
The colder season is upon us and that means staying warm with lots of layers: thermals, fuzzy socks, and hats to keep the heat in the body. Did you know that body fat is also a large player in keeping our body temperature in balance?
If you never considered it before, you are among the masses, since from the time we are born, society leads us to believe there is only one way to look. Think about fad diets, media, and the people we're surrounded by that tell us there is something wrong with our figure unless we maintain a skinny Barbie look into womanhood.
Did anyone ever tell you what can happen when our body fat drops so low that we stop getting our periods, set ourself up for permanent bone loss, and have crazy mood swings that no one will want to be around?
Don't fall for the quick fix, fad diets. Measuring meals in plastic, portion sized boxes that are the same for every person drastically cuts off our body's natural intuition when it comes to balancing out at a healthy weight.
To be openly honest, there is no easy solution when it comes to being healthy. If you are struggling to keep your health and wellness in check, hiring a coach to help you is your best option.
Learning to pay attention to they body's needs can help us be much healthier, balanced human beings.
