Crockpot honey mustard lemon chicken with lentils and brown rice Recipe

Working on new fall menus for my clients and this one in addition to Cranberry Pumpkin and Banana Bread Slow Cooker Oats will be on rotation!

I love the dump and go cooking method. Literally grab all your ingredients, throw them into a crockpot and you're all set!

What balanced meals are on your menu this week?

4-6 Servings

Ingredients:

1 cup Brown Rice

1 cup green lentils

1lb Chicken - thighs and drumsticks work great

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 buillon cube

1 teaspoon turmeric

1 teaspoon fresh black pepper

1 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 cup mustard

1/4 cup honey

1 teaspoon sesame seeds

2-4 cups of water (add more if too thick)

Method:

Add everything to your slowcooker and cook on high for 4 hours or low for up to 8 hours. Serve with a side salad or vegetable and crusty whole grain bread for a delicious balanced meal. Excellent reheated for leftovers the following week. Enjoy!
